I have 2 Labradoodles, 4 years and 8 months old. They can be high energy and quite curious. I decided to send each one as puppies to the Harmony site when I had to be out of town for an extended period. Kress had them super well behaved at the end of their time there and then taught me how to maintain their training. He gave me general principles that would work for any behavior I wanted to reinforce or delete. I continue to drive 3 hours to leave them with him anytime I'm out of town for 2 weeks or more. They refresh their training and work on anything new. My girls LOVE to go there. They are happy and relaxed when I pick them up, and they wiggle and whine excitedly as soon as I take the Highland K9 exit off the highway to drop them off. They have been super flexible with my schedule, including extending their stay by 2 weeks because of Hurricane Helene. Everywhere I go, people tell me how exceedingly well-behaved they are. I am confident with them off leash, even the 8 month old puppy! Kress and the crew at "the farm" are top-notch!

Graduate of Class #83! This school was amazing. The instructors are so knowledgeable and willing to help. The master trainer program is definitely the way to go. You will end up with so much experience by the end of it.

I attended this school from January 2025 - June 2025. Jason is an amazing trainer and his team of Magdalena, Elza, Amber, and Mike is absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend if you have any desire to be a dog trainer. I thought I was knowledgeable on dog training and I learned way more than I thought I would.

Magdalena, was an awesome instructor for the dog training class. She was able to use of any one of us students dog to do any command we were working on. I was very impressed with her knowledge and how well she was working with the dogs. She is truly an amazing instructor. I would recommend her to anyone. She is very professional and good at what she does. Highly recommend her program to anyone that needs help with obedience with their dog.

Magdalena is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with. She is so kind and never gives up on any of the dogs. She tailors her lessons to fit what your dog needs. I just can’t say enough good things about her or Highland Canine in general. I did group classes and it was almost like a private lesson. You get your own trainer that helps you individually during the class. I can’t believe how much I learned and how much my dog has progressed in just 6 weeks. My dog completed basic obedience yesterday and I already enrolled her in search and rescue thanks to Magdalena’s recommendation. I hope to find more classes with her in the future . She is so passionate about dogs and it shows in her training style.

I adopted a pit bull from statesville animal shelter yesterday who had been there for 98 days. Due to the training he has received from highland k9 the transition has been virtually seamless. There knowledge to be able to get dogs to obey when only working with them one day a week. By partnering with the animal shelter I left feeling like they can make any dog adaptable with the right training and dedication. Magdalena and all the staff who have worked with Duke did an amazing job. Also Matt who I’ve been working closely with is a wealth of knowledge and greatly improved my dog knowledge.
